I had the pleasure of collaborating with Denise on two occasions, in 2015 and 2020, for the organization of two international conferences with 100–200 participants from around the globe. Denise's great ability in managing various diverse aspects associated with the organization of these two events was invaluable. +
Her contributions were incredibly diverse and immensely helpful, including:
- Identifying an ideal location in the Swiss Alps to create an atmosphere conducive to intense knowledge exchange.
- Handling invitation letters and documents required for attendees’ venue in Switzerland.
- Coordinating attendee arrivals, e.g., welcoming / guidance through the airport and airport transfers to hotel accommodations.
- Organizing bookings and managing payments.
Denise’s outstanding work proved even more important during the 2020 conference. Initially planned as an in-person event, it had to be postponed and ultimately shifted online in 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. This required negotiating cancellation fees with the originally booked hotel and rethinking the entire conference concept. Thanks to Denise’s expertise and adaptability, the event was a success.
